Blackbushe Airport
What : Concept Design, CGI Imagery, Art Direction
Where : Camberley, Surrey, UK
Client : Blackbushe Airport Ltd
We were commissioned by Blackbushe Airport in Surrey to develop a suite of concept designs and high-impact artist’s impression visuals for the airport’s proposed expansion and redevelopment.
Although early-stage massing and area studies had already been completed by planners, these technical documents weren’t sufficient to convey the vision, inspire confidence, or spark meaningful engagement from key decision-makers. The airport needed something more compelling—imagery that could communicate ambition, capture the character of the site, and generate excitement among stakeholders, investors, and commercial partners.
This is where we stepped in.
Our brief was to create visuals that celebrated the heritage of this historic airfield while presenting a forward-looking, operationally realistic vision of its future. Through carefully considered composition, lighting, and narrative detail, we produced imagery that illustrated how the expanded facilities, improved infrastructure, and enhanced client experience could seamlessly integrate with Blackbushe Airport’s long-standing identity.
A major part of the airport’s operations revolves around charter jet and helicopter services. By developing clear, aspirational imagery early in the process—long before any construction began—the airport was able to approach prospective clients and operators with a tangible vision of what the future terminal and airside environment would offer. This not only helped secure early commercial interest but also significantly reduced risk and ensured more efficient allocation of budgeting and planning resources.
Our visuals have now become a core communication tool for the airport’s redevelopment strategy, supporting planning discussions, investment pitches, marketing efforts, and stakeholder engagement—demonstrating the power of compelling design imagery in bringing ambitious projects to life.
